What we edit

Photographs rarely arrive ready to use. The background is wrong, the colour is off, the product sits at a slightly different angle to the twenty others in the range, or the only copy of a family photograph has a crease through the middle of it.

We fix all of that by hand. Product cut outs and packshots for retailers and online shops, cosmetic retouching for headshots and business portraits, background removal, colour correction across a full set of images, and restoration of photographs that have been damaged by damp, sunlight or time.

Product and packshot work

If you sell online, the marketplace decides the rules. Pure white backgrounds, a consistent margin around the product, matched shadows, and the exact pixel dimensions Shopify or Amazon expects.

The part that gets overlooked is consistency. One good image sells a product. Forty images that match each other sell a brand. We work across the whole range at once so the set holds together when a customer scrolls through it.

Retouching that still looks like you

Business portraits and headshots need a light hand. Skin that still has texture, teeth that are not glowing, and a result that the person in the photograph recognises when they see it on LinkedIn.

We retouch to the level you ask for and show you the original beside the edit so you can judge it yourself.

Restoring old photographs

Restoration is the work people are most nervous about handing over, because there is usually only one copy. Nothing is done to your original. You send a scan, we rebuild the damage digitally, and you get back a file you can reprint as many times as you like.

Tears, missing corners, foxing, fading and water damage can nearly always be repaired. Where a face or a detail is genuinely gone we will tell you before we start rather than invent something and hope you do not notice.
